What is SHAiK?
SHAiK helps answer “What should we do?” Shake your phone to get one personalized idea for something to do.
How are recommendations chosen?
SHAiK uses the interests you share and the context you choose, such as location, available time, and who is coming, to suggest an activity.
What kinds of activities can it recommend?
Ideas can include food, family outings, local events, museums, sports, culture, date nights, outdoor activities, and more. Available ideas depend on your area and current providers.
Does it work everywhere?
Availability varies by location. SHAiK currently uses nearby places, events, and conditions to find ideas where provider coverage is available.
Is SHAiK free?
A Free plan is planned for launch with three SHAiKs per day, favorites, and activity details. During the private alpha, limits and availability may differ.
What comes with SHAiK+?
SHAiK+ is the planned paid option for more SHAiKs. The proposed price is $3.99 per month or $29.99 per year. Final availability and terms will appear in the app before purchase.
Can I use SHAiK with family or friends?
Yes. You can use an idea for yourself or plan it with others. The current app supports adding people to a plan and sharing an invite.
How is location used?
If you choose to allow location, SHAiK uses your current position for nearby ideas. You can also provide a location manually. Location permission is optional.
How are photos and other data used?
Photos permission is optional. In the current private alpha, SHAiK does not analyze or upload your photos. Your choices and feedback can help improve future suggestions.
Can SHAiK+ be cancelled anytime?
SHAiK+ is not yet available for purchase in the private alpha. Its final subscription and cancellation terms will be shown before purchase.
